Much to the delight of the residents of Playa Bastian the Costa Musica Festival returns once more to Costa Teguise this weekend.  For its fourth annual mash up of eclectic international dance beats.  Featuring some quality live acts and DJ´s – all available to us the punters entirely free of charge. 

Top names this year include exceptional Spanish hip hoppers – La Excepcion.  One time winners of MTV´s Best European Act and now appearing live for your delectation and delight tomorrow night, filling the 11.30pm til round midnight spot.  Whilst Saturday’s headliners are the Kokolo Afrobeat Orchestra, a New York based combo who favour (as you’d expect) African rhythms and who have worked with some heavy hitters in the past such as Fela Kuti and Eric B.

This year’s event also features some additional spin-offs – such as DJ´s spinning in the Red Bull tent and in the nearby Pueblo Marinero.  And the whole shebang bangs on until 04.00hrs.  Quality live music events are few and far between on Lanzarote – so get down and enjoy.
