Classics At The Caves

29 March 2010 No Comment

John Morgan, leading baritone from the Covent Garden Royal Opera House and accomplished pianist Kim Colvill will be appearing at a special Easter concert this Saturday, 3rd April at the Cueva de los Verdes.

The venue should make an excellent place in which to hear his ‘big, strong and dark-timbered’ voice, as it is widely recognised as having perfect acoustics for concerts. Morgan is acclaimed as one of the UK’s most skilled baritones, having been selected as the European Finalist in the Luciano Pavarotti Voice Competition held in Italy.

Since appearing at this prestigious contest, Morgan’s career has established him on the international stage. He makes regular appearances at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, the English National Opera and the Welsh National Opera.

Accompanying Morgan will be the talented pianist, Kim Colvill. The pair will be performing a range of operatic arias and a variety of Broadway musical numbers.

The evening concert gets underway at 20.30 on Saturday 3rd April, with tickets costing €15 each, available from the ticket office at the Cueva de los Verdes. For those who wish to make a special night of it, there is the opportunity to attend the concert and follow on with dinner at the Jameos del Agua. The cost of the concert and dinner combined is €60 per person.
