An Irish holidaymaker met a mysterious death over the weekend – as a body was found floating lifeless in the swimming pool of the Montana Club Aparthotel, according to reports in the Belfast Telegraph.
The tourist – a female believed to hail from Dublin has been named as Antoinette Fitzpatrick. Her fully clothed body was discovered early on Friday morning at 2am in the pool at the complex by a member of staff. Emergency services were summoned but were unable to revive her. This specially discounted rate will be available to all Canarian residents booking a return flight.
In order to take advantage of this exceptionally low price, tickets must be booked between 8th and 14th November for any return flight between the islands in December, January or February 2011.

The number of tourists visiting Lanzarote from the UK soared by nearly 50% during September – according to figures recently released by AENA. As British tourist numbers climbed to 77,281 arrivals last month. A figure that is also much improved on September 2008 by just over 20%.

Under the title of ‘Vienna to Broadway’ the programme includes renditions of operatic songs from Johann Strauss and Offenbach as well as more recent tunes from Rodgers and Hammerstein, Gilbert and Sullivan and Bernstein.

The recent move to increase the quantity of wine from Lanzarote being consumed abroad has begun to reap results, with as much as 35 out of every 100 litres being drunk in other countries.
This shift in consumption patterns has only recently come about as only a decade ago, 95% of the island´s wine production was destined to be drunk on Lanzarote.
