This move follows on the introduction of a direct service on the same route last year by carrier TTOO Crystal, who this year intend to increase the frequency of flights to twice a week in July and August. It represents a step in the right direction for the Tourist Board of Lanzarote, as Luis Arraez, the Councillor for Tourism, explained that the ‘Marketing Plan for 2010 has been looking to consolidate air travel between the island and France’.

There´s plenty of places where tourists can enjoy some serious pampering on Lanzarote. So relax, exhale and joins us on a quick tour of the island’s finest therapeutic establishments.

Hotel Beatriz Spa – Matagorda

This brand new spa (well a year or so old anyway) looks great and leaves you feeling even better.

Offering a comprehensive hydrothermal circuit, including underwater jets, waterfalls, micro-bubble beds, swan’s neck jets, Jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish bath and power showers. All designed to massage the different muscle groups and ease the unbearable tension of being on holiday!

A full spa circuit costs €21 per person and the Beatriz Hotel in Matagorda is located in the Avenida de las Playas. Open daily from 10.00 until 19.00.

Hotel Beatriz Spa – Costa Teguise

Looking a little like something out of the last days of Caligula this Roman themed thallasotherapy spa in Costa Teguise actually offers rather good value for money for anyone in search of some serious relaxation.

Enjoy all of the whooshing and sloshing of their hydro thermal circuit – which features 23 separate jet treatments. Before heading for a serious sweat in the hammam and sauna areas.

Additional treatments include wraps, massages, pedicures and manicures and prices start from as little as €10 per sesh.

Hotel Costa Calero Spa – Puerto Calero

Ever listened to music underwater? You can here – as this modern thallosotherapy spa boasts a unique Musicquarium. As well as a main pool with loads of powerful jet treatments and much more besides.
One of the most attractive things about this facility is that the pool area is part outdoors part indoors. So you can soak up the sun at the same time as enjoying the experience. Or flop into one of the pool side sun loungers.
The Costa Calero Spa also boasts the usual range of additional treatments and circuits tart from €12.
