For the first time shops in Arrecife will be open across the weekend throughout much of December. In a bid to attract both tourists and locals as the Christmas shopping season gets underway.

Throughout December shops in the capital will open during the morning and afternoon of each Saturday and will also open on the three Sundays between December 20th and January 3rd. In addition, Monday 7th December will also see numerous businesses open, despite the fact that this is normally a bank holiday when Constitution Day, 6th December, falls on a Sunday, as it does this year.

The date for forthcoming Rebajas or sales have also been released, with the January sales commencing on 7th January and running until 6th March.

Sizzling Sisley

Lanzarote´s unique volcanic scenery has just played a starring role in a photo shoot for the top Italian women’s wear label, Sisley. UK based photographer Kirstin Prisk selected the island as the ideal location for Sisley’s forthcoming mail order website. Working with model Nina Eastham to capture some striking images.

According to Kirstin; “After researching Sisley, the Italian female casual wear brand. I found myself in awe of their photography. I had to refine my approach in order to do it justice, and fit in with the brands style. So, we flew to the lava fields of Lanzarote, where I knew the ingredients would compliment each other perfectly.”
