Lanzarote welcomed an influx of German visitors last month, as arrivals from the island´s second largest market soared by 65.5%. Thanks largely to the impact of the crisis in the Middle East, which diverted many German holidaymakers from resorts such as Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt to Lanzarote and other winter sun hot spots in the Canary Islands.
